The event, titled ‘Looking back to move forward – where next for HSE?’ will be held on 24-25 March 2021. OGUK is once again moving beyond the confines of a traditional conference, providing a digital platform for ideas and discussion about the future of oil and gas.

As we follow on from the tumultuous events of 2020, this year‘s conference asks the question ‘where next for our industry?’.

Over the two–day event, we will be joined by leading voices and world–class experts in the fields of health, safety, and environment to reflect on the impact of the past 12 months, but also to look forward, and ask what must our industry do to continue improving our HSE performance?

This is an online event. You do not have to travel to any specific location in order to become a part of the event. You can participate from anywhere you have internet access. The event is accessible from desktop, mobile and tablet devices.

All those who have registered for the event will be able to engage virtually with all other delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors over the 2 days.

Attendees can:

  • Watch conference content live (or catch up with the recordings where applicable)
  • 1:1 text, audio, video chat
  • Group chat
  • Join live Q&A during or after conference sessions
  • Visit the exhibition and interact with exhibitors to ask questions, exchange details and find out about products and services

In addition attendees can download conference and exhibition content and save it into a ‘digital conference bag’. You can email the contents to yourself or share items with your colleagues by simply entering their email.

Your login details will be emailed to you ahead of the event. You can use these details to access the online event.

You can login and out throughout the days of the event and the materials will be available for 30 days after.

You need to follow log in instructions to enter the V-Fairs website; sometimes you will be prompted to enter zoom via the auditorium in order to watch the live sessions.

We recommend using Chrome or Firefox as your browser.

A laptop or mobile webcam is required for you to be seen as you engage in virtual networking and meetings. If you don’t want to be seen, then you can keep your camera off.

You can directly contact participants on the virtual exhibition hall (the scrolling booths) or by looking at their details on the participants’ list. You make contact by approaching them virtually, and you can make arrangements to meet at your mutual convenience. Alternatively enjoy the opportunity to get involved in the various conference chat rooms and make new connections. 

Yes, you have 30 days to log in and attend the webinar sessions – please note session 2 will not be recorded so you must participate live if you wish to hear from our speaker, Sir David Spiegelhalter. The virtual hall will only be manned during the event times, but content that is downloadable from the exhibition booths will also be available for 30 days from the start date of the event.
